Flexible and innovative approach

We are developing the Eigersund Project with a flexible, innovative approach and detailed analysis of the full potential of this new vertically integrated value chain.

Fragility of global supply chains

Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) are of huge national importance to Norway. They are also of great international significance.

Recent years have seen unprecedented global supply disruption – from the Covid-19 pandemic to continuing geopolitical unrest.

The fragility of CRM supply chains and vulnerability of sovereign states now need to be countered by reliable and unhindered access.

Controlling the value

Securing a European supply of these Critical Raw Materials and lowering the associated risk is therefore an urgent political and economic priority.

Norge Mineraler is aiming to control more of the CRM value chain – as requested by our partners, such as the EU and specific governments.

To do this, we are assessing upstream extraction, as well as mid and downstream processing. This will also increase the value of these resources for the Norwegian people.

As we assess these exciting opportunities, our main focus is on the final product lifecycle. Firstly, how it will appeal to customers and offtakers. And secondly, how we can optimise sustainable characteristics in the following ways:
